Education extends far beyond the classroom – we are excited to participate in CYBERIADA, a huge educational initiative run by the Teatrikon foundation. Most of our students have enrolled in their seven-month digital game design course. Five of our teaching staff support student teams as tutors and/or sit on the Cyberiada programme committee. For maximum synergy, we have integrated Cyberiada projects into our Team Game Project class.
Congratulations to the entire crew: Jakub Gamrot , Jowita Pałubicka , Mateusz Skwarski , Helion Sałas-Szrejter, Kamil Zimoch, Jeremi Mechuła, Zuzanna Sowul and Bartosz Wielgosz. It’s an inter-university student team, with the first six representing the first year of our Historical Game Design BA programme. Throughout the Cyberiada project, the team was supported by our games instructor Paulina Michałowska.
Their game, Chess Peace, is a surreal chess-inspired metroidbrainia in which players explore the World Below by gradually mastering the movement patterns of different chess pieces. Find out more on their Steam page. Wishlists are more than welcome!
